Thank you for supporting our community during COVID-19
Your Support Matters
The impact of PACS is measured in many ways. One way is by numbers. For example, we know that every dollar invested in the food pantry is multiplied by 7 because of the value of donated food and volunteer time. Between our Food Pantry and Mobile Food Pantry, we provide 3-5 days of groceries to nearly 6,200 community members every month at a cost of $4.87 per person. We know that half of those we serve are children and seniors and all of those we serve are living in poverty or near the edges of it.
We also measure our impact by the stories of the people we serve. For example, Jessica is a busy mother, raising three children while her husband Mark works full-time at a restaurant. Like many young families in the region, they struggle to make ends meet, battered by the combination of low wages and the high costs of renting an apartment. Jessica doesn’t worry about getting ahead, she worries about having enough money to eat every month. Jessica and her family are the faces behind our numbers and she says,”Thank you for helping my food cupboard stretch! It really makes a difference,” In addition to big numbers, our impact is found in personal stories of those we serve.
Finally, we measure our impact on the community joining us in service. Together, our staff members, volunteers, community partners, prayer partners, and donors are a Community of Service, ministering to a community in need. If you are not part of our community, you are invited to join us in making an impact. Your support, large or small, matters. Remember, your gift may also be matched by your employer (see here for more information)
PACS relies on community donations to pay for the services we provide to the community. Your gift makes a direct impact on the life of someone who is struggling to meet basic needs. Your gift allows us to provide nutritious food, healthcare and soon, dental care. Your gift also allows us to connect low-income families with other social and spiritual support to help families break the cycle of poverty.
By setting up a monthly or quarterly recurring donation you will join our sustaining circle. Monthly gifts are a great way to show your ongoing support and commitment to our work and allow you to chose a level of support that fits your budget.
