PACS DONATION TERMS

All donations are final.

Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. PACS (Portland Adventist Community Services) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, as inherited from our parent organization, the Seventh-day Adventist Church. While we do exist as an organization within the greater Adventist church network, all funds donated to PACS are used by PACS for PACS programs and functions, in keeping with PACS' publicly stated misison and activities.

It is PACS' policy to always use funds for their intended purpose, as stated by the donor. If the project or program the donor has requested for the use of his/her donation does not exist or is no longer in need of funding, it is PACS policy to contact the donor to request guidance on where to re-route the donation, including the option to refund the donation if no other PACS project or program is of interest to the donor. PACS will use its own discretion to reroute the gift to another PACS program or project only if the donor cannot be reached or fails to respond to any message left by PACS with guidance for re-routing the donation.

VERIFY PACS NON-PROFIT STATUS

Donations to PACS can be deducted on your tax return as allowed by law. Because PACS holds 501(c)3 non-profit status as a subsidiary of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the church's EIN must be used when searching for non-profits on the IRS Select Check verification page. To confirm your donation is tax deductible, please search for tax ID #52-0643036 (General Conference of Seventh Day Adventist) at the IRS Select Check web page. You can also view a copy of the church's IRS letter confirming non-profit status, and verify PACS' subsidiary status by viewing PACS' listing in the Adventist Church's online database of organizations.
